Kit Review
Documentation: 8 pages including general description, construction procedure, setup instructions,
schematics, parts identification chart, pcb layout, troubleshooting hints, and enclosure tips.
Quality of Components: Good quality epoxy board with copper traces and good
silk-screen printed part locations. The parts appear to be all of good quality. This kit was well assembled.
Quality of Design: Your typical switcher design based on a crystal. No drift in pilot frequency
but wave shape is hardly pure sine wave.
Ease of Assembly: Read all the documents before you start! Parts
placement is easy with the documents provided clearly showing you what goes where.
This was a kit for beginners with a very good manual.
Setup and Use: Setup and alignment was easy using a stereo receiver for testing.
The stereo separation was fair and the sound quality was good. Some minor hiss and noise at were present in the signal.
Support from Vendor: This outfit is long gone.
Cost: I purchased the completed kit off of ebay for $35 (dec 03)
