Weanus P. says "I like to make something from nothing, so I took a cheap generic BA1014 transmitter called the Soundbridge and made it do a little more then it origianlly did. In a small plastic case, I added a 75mw amplifier, using 2 2N3904 transistors and a pair of wires to make a dipole antenna. The transmitter is basically stock, so it can be drifty and noisy but ok for what I need. I removed the normal whip antenna and used a short piece of RG-174 cable, coupling it to the amp stage. Thumb tacs hold it to any wall, fence or tree but from my second floor bedroom it covers about 4 city blocks." |
